Status Report 1-9/7:

A. I have all of my folders for my EP separated on my computer so that I can drop files into the folders in preparation to put them in my EP. I also chose the GoogleSites today to display my portfolio. I think it has a very professional feel and look. It's also pretty easy to navigate since I've already created a GoogleSite before. I also liked that it was so easy to make public once it's finished. https://sites.google.com/a/ncsu.edu/jade-g-portfolio/

B. At this point, I'm not sure what additional categories I want to use at the end of my portfolio. I thought about using a personal experience section maybe or an assessment section.

C. I want to do a calming or maybe a nature type theme, I think. I also thought about doing an inspiring theme. At this point, I'm not exactly sure.

Status Report 2-9/28:

In today's workshop, I tried to decide which artifact I would use for the History element. I have a big paper that was a group project so I emailed all of the participants for permission to use their work in my portfolio along with my own. I also added all of the pages to my GoogleSites. I looked back at other electronic portfolios to view their format and how they did their reflections and introductions. At the end of class, I got clarification of writing the introductions and reflections before/after each artifact. I still haven't decided on a definite theme.

Status Report 3-10/12:

During today's workshop, I completed my annotated list of courses for English and History. I wanted to complete final touches before adding it to the portfolio, however. Looking at the list makes me feel a little more prepared than I initially thought I was to each both concentrations! :)

Status Report 4-11/2

I've decided to include my historical inquiry as one of my History elements. I think that will show both an group effort and an individual one. I also decided which English artifact I was going to use. I added all of the other pages (teaching philosophy, resume, reflection, resources, and an empty link for my 2nd additional one). Some of those pages are blank but they're formatted at least. I wrote an introduction and reflection for my History and English artifacts and added them into the site.

Status Report 5-11/19

I added notes to each page stating which artifacts I was going to up onto each page. Even though all of these aren't due right away, I feel better knowing what will go on which page and how things will be presented. I also finally came up with an overall theme for my portfolio I want to do a "follow your heart/path you've chosen" theme. When I first started school my mom tried to talk me out of teaching so I went to college with another degree. I then transferred schools twice and changed my major to teaching. It's what I'm meant to do so that theme is important to me and my success as a teaching student. I'm going to use quotes and images that represent this theme. I also started my "about me" section and looking for pictures of myself to include on my EP. I began saving videos from the CED website onto my flash drive as well as TOP photos to include in my EP.

Status Report 6-11/26

I added tons today! I finished up all of the sections that we need to be able to present on Friday, plus some! I found quotes about passion and added them to the tops of my pages. I set a layout on each individual page so that I could add things without having to do the extra formatting. I added each link on my Pedagogical page, all artifacts and all descriptions except for the Thematic Unit Plan. I uploaded my WPWP video, TOP picture, my 306 Autobiography video, written documents from ENG 422, ECI 416 and a link to my ECI 306 final project. So productive! I also added images and did some re-formatting.
